1. never share personal data used in special purposes, especially those used as passwords (birthday, real name) and those used to verify identity (middle name, favorites, relatives names) and most of all real names and address (can be used to impersonate you or locate you for bad intentions) 2. never tweet your current locations and activities (to avoid being located by people with bad intentions towards you) 3. keep data private (contact information must be shared only to known people) 4. fake your data (faking your data, like your pictures, names, locations, favorites etc. can enhance your security) 5. lengthen passwords (if a certain web site allows a maximum number of 32 characters while your password varies only from 6 characters, choose a token character, example the letter q, to fill the remaining characters before or after your password) 6. never let web sites remember you ( and your password ) 7. clear saved passwords and cookies from your browser --- continued
